Dress The Town Pink!

dress the town pink salmon arm

Our office wants to encourage the community to get behind an amazing local fundraiser right here in Salmon Arm. The "Dress The Town Pink" initiative is an annual breast cancer awareness campaign led by the Friends Abreast dragon boat team, that involves decorating the downtown area in pink with ribbons and lights from October 1st to 15th.

The event includes selling memorial ribbons for a small donation to support the Shuswap Hospital Foundation's mammography unit. You can purchase pink memorial ribbons for a $2 donation at many locations around town. You are then encouraged to tie these to the Salmon Arm Whard to honour survivors, those fighting cancer and those lost to cancer.

DON'T FORGET, October 4th is WEAR PINK DAY!

Dress in your best Pink Attire and watch for the Friends Abreast Team giving our free pink carnations at the Downtown Farmers Market, Piccadilly Mall and Centenoka Mall that day.

You will also be able to purchase the $2 memorial pink ribbons at those locations on the 4th.

What an incredible initiative and way to support not just the local hospital foundation but also all those who have been impacted by cancer. Your $2 can go a long way to changing lives right here in the Salmon Arm-Shuswap region! I'm buying my ribbon! Are you?
